Our Finest Hour

Have you ever asked yourself the question, “I wonder what will be my most memorial and affective moment of my life?” I would guess that most of us would choose the wrong moment for any number of reasons. But in Exodus 32 Moses displayed his “finest hour” by showing where he was going. In addition he had the ability to encourage others to come along. This gave him the legacy of being one of the most important men in human history. In other words because Moses knew where he was going and why, he took along with him his own generation in addition to the generations that would follow him. This makes him shine as one of the most affective men in history.

Most of us will not be another Moses nor should be; however, we should all aspire toward greatness in the sense that we know what our direction in life is. In addition we should choose to influence as many people as possible to join us in this journey. The reason this is so important is because mankind is fickle. There is no other explanation for our selfish behavior. If we can alter the direction of some people from being fickle to men and women of purpose, we have succeeded.

Speaking of influence, may I ask you if you know if your direction in life is right or wrong? God has a plan for you and me. It is not hard to find but once you discover it, you will never be the same.

Until next time,

Pastor Vergil
